Newly Refurbished Sheraton Detroit Airport Hotel Increases Marketing

The Sheraton Detroit Airport Hotel that recently finished refurbishing it’s property in Romulus, is now putting it’s efforts into marketing the hotel as a meeting place that is close to the airport. Their goal is to increase occupancy from 55% to 65% by next year.

That would be a twenty percent growth in one year. The Detroit Metro Airport is a very important destination for businesses near the airport. The improvements looks nice. The old Crown Plaza needed a makeover badly.

A Minneapolis-based investment group has started marketing the Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport hotel in Romulus after buying the hotel for $10.7 million in April and spending $6 million on a renovation.

It’s the second hotel purchase in metro Detroit for EBF & Associates as part of an investment in future growth for the region’s hotels, said Paul Wisherman, president of Minneapolis-based Wischerman Partners, which manages the hotel.
